Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create an account?
No. The app works as soon as you open it, and your progress is backed up automatically. If you plan to switch phones, you can link a Google or Apple account from Settings so your data can be restored on the new device.

How do I delete my data completely?
Open the app and go to Settings → Delete account & data. Everything on our servers and on your device is permanently removed right away. You can also email us and we will delete it for you.

Does it work offline?
Yes. Your progress is saved on your device first, so the app works in places with poor reception, like a hospital or a parking garage. It syncs automatically once you are back online.

How do I turn off or change notifications?
Deadline reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. You can turn them off at any time from your device's Settings.

Where does the information come from, and how accurate is it?
Deadlines, benefit amounts and eligibility rules are based on publicly available information from government agencies and may change or vary by state, employer and insurance plan. First Hello does not provide legal, medical, tax or financial advice — please confirm details with the relevant agency, your employer, your insurer or your pediatrician. If you spot something that looks out of date, we would be grateful for an email.
