Do I need to create an account?
No. The app works as soon as you open it, and your progress is saved automatically on our servers. You can also link a Google account (or an Apple account on iPhone) from Settings if you want.

How do I delete my data completely?
Open the app and go to Settings → Delete account and data. This deletes the current account's records (account, progress, baby information, and photo) from our servers and clears the app's data on your device. Your Dad space posts, support reactions, blocks, and reports are deleted too.

If records from a previous account remain, or you can't open the app, email us and we will delete them for you. If the account was linked to Google or Apple, email us from the linked email address: we confirm it is you by checking that the sending address matches the email linked to that account, and then delete it (its Dad space posts and other records are deleted too). If you linked with Apple's Hide My Email, we send a confirmation email to the Apple relay address linked to that account — please reply to it. For an anonymous account, include the text from "Copy support info" (at the bottom of Settings). If posts from a previous account are still up in Dad space, email us from the linked email address (for Hide My Email, we confirm with the confirmation email above), and after checking we will remove them from public view. We delete support emails one year after we finish handling them.

What is Dad space, and how is it moderated?
Dad space is a board where dads share what has stayed with them while caring for their baby. Only the Korean board is open for now; if the app language is English, the tab says it isn't open yet. We review every post, and every edited post, before other users can see it. You can report posts and block authors. Posts that break the ground rules are not shown or are removed from public view, and an author who repeatedly breaks them may be suspended — their posts are hidden from other users and they cannot post, edit, or react (they can still delete their own posts, report, and block).

Does it work offline?
Yes. Your progress is saved on your device first, so the app works in places with poor reception, like a hospital or a parking garage. It syncs automatically once you are back online.

How do I turn off or change notifications?
Deadline reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. You can turn them off at any time from your device's Settings.

Where does the information come from, and how accurate is it?
Deadlines, benefit amounts and eligibility rules are based on publicly available information from government agencies and may change or vary by state, employer and insurance plan. First Hello does not provide legal, medical, tax or financial advice — please confirm details with the relevant agency, your employer, your insurer or your pediatrician. If you spot something that looks out of date, we would be grateful for an email.
